This study focuses on the Syriac Psalter commonly attribute to Paul of Tella, the author of the Syrohexapla. In Septuaginta-Studien 2, Alfred Rahlfs, based on a limited investigation, concluded that, although this Psalter exhibits some of the Syrohexapla’s characteristics, it is not primarily hexaplaric. In the present volume, both Rahlfs’s conclusion and the supposition that Paul produced this Psalter are scrutinized.

The present study features an edition of the Syriac Psalms that incorporates evidence from hitherto uncollated manuscripts. It concludes with an appendix of previously unpublished hexaplaric readings collected from the margins employed in this edition.
